I like to listen to music on my PC while I surf the internet, but I don't want to hear all the "clicks" , "bloops" and so forth associated with web surfing. Can I disable the sound on my web browser and still listen to music?

Tools.... Internet Options... Advanced Tab.... Scroll Down to Multimedia and Un Check what you want

Which one am I supposed to uncheck? I unchecked "play sounds in web pages" but it didn't work. I'm actually using an AOL browser that's IE-based, don't know if that makes a difference.

Other than the fact that it IS there's really no reason. Why?

I get similar reactions to yours quite often when I mention I use AOL. If I used MSN I'd just be giving my money to Microsoft, they're the debbil as well. Who ISN'T these days?

You have much to learn, young Skywalker.

Well somebody please enlighten me. I went bargain-basement once with Earthlink, and it sucked major ass. Cox pissed me off years ago and I refuse to do business with them. Qwest already gets enough of my money from phone and cable. It's not like there's that many more options that I'm aware of.
