Our corners need a pass-rush more than a coach anyway.

Matt Millen is Johnny Morton's bitch.

He'll be thrown under the bus sooner or later. They all are.

I was hoping he'd come here and serve as our DBs coach or assisant head coach of the defense. Ah well.

Jerry Gray is available. He be a solid choice for DBs coach. But Adam Schefter is reporting that Gray may go to Washington.

I am starting to despise Washington on levels usually reserved for AFC West teams.

Well, it's Snyder. He sees that their is no cap limit for signing coaches, and the guy is going on a shopping spree because of it.

Yeah, I figured somebody would hire him. He's a good coach, perfect fit for Millen in Detroit too. I'm more saddened by Mario Lemieux's retirement than this so, so :p

I wouldn't mind if KC considered Jerry Gray to coach the DB's. I think Gray will look for a job as DC. But, I was browsing through the stats, and Buffalo, aside from this year, has had a well respected pass defense.

What about Chuck Cecil? Has he coached anywhere before?

We don't need a coach who is going to teach our DB's how to properly get flagged for unnecessary roughness.

That guy was a maniac when he played.

I remember him being rumored when Gun came over from the Titans but I believe he just resigned with them.

Hey, if he can teach decent coverage skills - I'll take the flags.

Yes he did. That's where KC's own Nick Athan said Al was going to be Head Coach the Monday after the season ended. :)

Anybody think Kevin Ross, James Hasty, or Albert Lewis could be up for the DB Coach job ?

I wouldn't be suprised to see us ask permission to interview Leslie Frazier of the Colts. His current title there is Defensive asst. Coach.

He was with the eagles coaching the secondary the same time Rivera was there coaching the LB's. He then got the DC job with Marvin Lewis in cincy only to get canned after the '04 season. He was available most of last offseason until joining Dungy. The way it looks, they basically made a job for him there.

With Herm and Dungy being close friends it might be a possibility.

Otherwise Kevin Ross is the only name out there that makes more sense. Problem is if he is ready to be a full time DB coach as apposed to asst. DB coach. Maybe Albert lewis would be a good fit to assist special teams and DB's.

We're going to hire Steve Szabo.......he was the Bills secondary coach. We seem to be pretty content to hire former Bills coaches, we only have 4 of them right now.

I guess I can't figure out why Jim Bates hasn't taken a job yet.

He'd be the DB coach, not the DC. He's a good DB coach. However, I'd love for us to get Leslie Frazier. He did extremely well with the Eagles DBs.

1) Frazier
2) Gray
3) Ross
