Does anyone know the type and extent of Willie's injury? I thought the hamstring was okay.

Willie's probably fine, just didn't want to expose his body to meaningless pounding at Pro Bowl!

Good for Green...he's a fine QB.

Good for Green...he's a fine QB.

The AFC Coach said he'd run him on many naked bootlegs and make him long snap.

I really don't care that we have players being added for the Pro Bowl, it is not really a great honor when they are just fill-ins.

Just out of curiosity why is he not listed here?

Hmm, that's interesting. I wonder if it's just an oversight on the part of the webmaster over there, or if Plummer really isn't going?

I think I see what happened.

Despite what was perhaps the best of his nine NFL seasons - maybe not in terms of statistics, but in the overall result - he was voted only as a second alternate for the Pro Bowl.
He backed in this week when Carson Palmer went down in Sunday's wild-card game. The first alternate, Drew Brees, was injured in the regular-season finale.
Apparently, nfl.com hasn't updated to account for Carson Palmer's injury. Either that, or Palmer is back in. But if Palmer was back in, wouldn't Plummer get the nod over Green for replacing Brady?

They'd better not make him start in Roaf's spot.

Coach Shanahan said that he was going to line Green up all over the field.....he said tackle was a diffenate.

I think this is the timeline -

Pro Bowl QB's:

Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Carson Palmer

Palmer goes down in playoffs.
Drew Brees is first alternate, but goes down in finale.
Jake Plummer is second alternate, and gets the nod.

Tom Brady is injured, and not going to play.
Trent Green is third alternate, and gets the nod.

But to answer your question, yes, Plummer would be in and Green out. But the way I understand it, Palmer may not play until late next season.

Hope that helps.

Trent needs to audible to a sideline pass, and bean Rat right in the noggin.

He'll be spending most of his time on defense. The only positions on offense listed were tackle and fullback.

Yes I bet Trent with his 20 million dollars total contract is real excited to make the 30K you get for being in a ProBowl especially after he did not get on initially or even as the first alternate.

Manning: Gets pissed after being sacked. Throws Prowl Bowl linemen under the bus in post game conference.

Plummer. Fumble, INT, Fumble, INT, removed from game.

Green: Single handedly wins the game in the last quarter for the AFC.

Shields, Waters and Roaf blocking while LJ takes the hand-off from Green????

Wait...I thought this is the ProBowl... or is't Kansas City Chiefs football in February?

Edit: I just noticed that KC has more offensive players in the AFC Pro-Bowl lineup than any other team (6), and the second most total players on the AFC roster. Indy has the most with 8 total players, and 5 on offense. Right behind KC is San Diego, with 5 total players and 3 on offense, and Denver, with 5 total players, and 2 on offense. Wouldn't it be great in those later quarters to see more than half the players on the offensive side wearing arrowheads?

If we're going to count the subs then we should also probably subtract the drops. Roaf is a drop. He'll not be playing.

I hope he and the center can get the snap down this year. Last year, the exchange was fumbled at least 4 maybe 5 times, and we didn't get to see much of Trent as a result.
