It's on ESPN if anyone was wondering where to see it.

Mr. Laz
01-28-2006, 11:24 AM

Well....thats Bill Self for ya. evaluating players that "work hard" in practice but have shit for talent on game day. Vinson was a walk-on am I right? You could seriously make the argument that Self doesn't know what the **** he's doing as a coach.

Mr. Laz
01-28-2006, 11:27 AM
slam by kaun ...

25-15 ku

Mr. Laz
01-28-2006, 11:30 AM

Vinson just disrupts this offense when he is in with his erratic, risky passing. WTH is he even in there? Damn.

Self shouldn't put more than 1 scrub in at a time unless he having foul trouble.

ArrowheadHawk

chiefsfan987
01-28-2006, 12:25 PM
was it really a slump? or just inability to handle the ball...

isu just isn't the same without the big man they had last year stinson and blaylock can't do it all

Old Dog

I didn't realize that KU was favored in this game. I would have thought that ISU would have been favored in Ames.

Solid win for the 'Hawks. They need to keep this momentum going to have a chance at the tournament.

ArrowheadHawk
01-28-2006, 01:18 PM
i guess 85 pts aint bad they held them to 38.7% (29 of 75) from the field and 37.9% (11 of 29) from 3

Mr. Laz

was it really a slump? or just inability to handle the ball...
true ... but their ability to handle the ball seems to depend so much on their focus and energy.

the ball handling doesn't come naturally so they have to focus on it.

one of the better games this year imo ... they had a plan and used it.

still had 2/3 "sloppy" runs there though

A win is a win. I'll take it. At times they really looked smooth out there, at other times, bleah...

They appear to be getting better. But every time I think that, they fall apart again. It takes time, I guess.

Jackson played solid today. Giles is in the doghouse. Kahn was ineffective for whatever reason. Wright made some turnovers, but nice D at the 4.

wright has a serious problem with throwing the ball away

Yeah, he doesn't have to do a look-away bullet pass every time. Usually it's the wrong play. Sometimes, though, guys like Moody and Giles need to be more ready for them.

i guess you could be right but you can't look for the ball all the time sometimes you have to look where you need to screen

Wright needs to realize he is not a point....... can't count the number of times today he tried taking the ball over the timeline before Robinson or Chalmers would demand the ball before Wright dribbled it off his foot. Get him to realize that and he will be a great player down the stretch!
