Something just occured to me, if Priest decides to retire, are we going to look to the draft for a backup RB and if we do, how early will it be? I think it would be wise to look for a possible middle round diamond in the rough or roll the dice with and unsigned rookie like Gado last year. I hadn't even been looking at RB's coming out this year, any suggestions?

I think we'll just sign a FA.

Trade down and draft a runningback in the first round to keep pressure on LJ not to hold out.

Brilliant!!

I say sign an undrafted guy. There's always a Willie Parker somewhere out there.

Everyone is saying PH is going to retire-I won't believe it until it comes out of his mouth. He has been in worse situations injury wise-and came back strong. I think he will be back.

I say a vet that can get in the endzone and be a third down back. Not that LJ can't. Too soon to not have someone older, wiser working with LJ. Which all sounds like a PH.

I think we'll draft one in the first round sometime in the early 2000's. Maybe 2003. So sayeth my crystal ball.

if priest is gone we need to find someone to take the load off of lj, even though lj wasnt the starter for the entire season, lj had a very high amount of carries and with his talent i dont want to use him up to quickly like the titans did with eddie george, i say we scan the free agent list and at worst we draft a back up in the later part of the first day or sometime in the second day, but the kid behind lj this season is not good enough

Some cheap FA like Lamar Gordon would be fine.

Just noticed that closet shitter is a FA. That would be interesting but his running style doesnt really compliment LJs.

Agree with Gordon. His style of play might work well in our system.

And I never understood why GreenBay put Davenport as kickoff return man. He'd be best suited as blocking back on returns.

Sign a FA and maybe look in the later rounds of draft to compete with others to take that #2 and #3 spot.

Me too. I think he'll be back in a role similar to Bettis and Marcus Allen in the latter part of their careers.

He may not retire but I don't see him being a Chief either. He has stated publicly that he will not accept a non-starting role.

I think we take a Rb with out 4th or 5th rounder no matter what this year
