View Full Version : Minor irritations

While this is a poor picture (that's a completely different thing that irritates Bob Dole to no end), Bob Dole wants to get a consensus on this thing.

What the hell does the red-on-white sign second from the bottom say when you read it aloud?

It "clearly" says:

Just A One Dollar.

Just A One Dollar.

Thank you.

The people voting otherwise can just kiss Bob Dole's ass. (Which assumes you are able to find it under all this hair...)

In common American lexicon, I think it would be read as "Just A Dollar."

If you argue that it says "Just A One Dollar", then perhaps you should be more literal and conclude that it says, "Just a Dollar One Point Zero Zero".

It says "Just a $1.00", you know, a buck, it's an ad for a dollar store......:D

Bob Dole supposes it's in a similar vein to the whole AOLbonics thing.

How do you pronounce 156?

"One hundred fifty six" or "uh hunnert fiddy six"?

This thread brings up a few pet peeves of my own.

1. PIN: Personal Identification Number

2. VIN: Vehicle Identification Number

Why do people say, "PIN Number" and "VIN Number?"

It's redundant. It's, in essence, saying, "Personal Identification Number Number" and "Vehicle Identification Number Number."

18 votes?

Maybe Bob Dole should offer everyone who votes a one dollar.

like when people say, "ATM Machine" ... that bothers me

and what does the "UMB" stand for in UMB Bank? I thought it was United Missouri Bank-- so, in their commercials, they are saying United Missouri Bank Bank, right? Or does it stand for something different?

Carolina defensive end Rucker was nothing more than a minor irritation to Walter Jones. ROFL

Jones bulldozes him 15 yards downfield before pancaking him at the 2..

What the hell does the red-on-white sign second from the bottom say when you read it aloud?

To me it screams:

"Here is some worthless crap that we bought for 10 cents but are selling to you for a dollar"

I thought it said, "Just a Frog"

and Angel, UMB used be United MIssouri Bank. but they did away with that name and went with UMB when they expanded out of that crappy state.

Kinda like KFC

So they had to change their name from United Missouri Bank to UMB because they're not really a bank anymore?

Sounds like bobdole could use a little gold bond powder, to assist the itches that Blue Star Ointment isn't scratching.
