This does present somewhat of a moral dilemma for a mod.

On the one hand, you want to encourage free speech. On the other hand, you want to curtail dipshittery where necessary. On still another hand, what is the definition of dipshittery? On yet one more hand, one poster's dipshittery is another's quality post. On still, yet, another hand, a mod started this whole ****ing thing.

That's an interesting problem and a whole lotta hands there.

I've been thinking about proposing it as a new addition. I think 1-day dipshittery bans would really make this a better place.

Please know that it is not my intention, Mr. ENDelt260, to be argumentative here. I have an honest and sincere interest in the issue at hand. You would have to agree that "humor" is subjective, would you not? As is "suck"?

I would never attempt to undermine your authority to police the planet as a mod. However, I have to wonder if/when others might say, "this sucks" or "that sucks" and, therefore, a particular thread or post or series of threads no longer belong on the Planet.

For example, I have seen numerous threads hijacked with off-topic declarations of "love". Do these "suck" as well?

In your capacity as a mod, where is the line drawn? This, I suppose is the question that is drawing me into this conversation.

Of course humor is subjective, FAX. The important thing to remember is: nothing matters but my opinion. A person never knows when I might declare them guilty of dipshittery.... one must always be on their toes if they want to avoid the 1-day-dipshittery-ban.
