Just did a little research and I found out that of all of the 40 teams that won the SB, all 40 went undefeated through the playoffs.

Can't give that info. I got it from a real close source to the league.

I don't think the Lambs won 1 pre-season game their SB year!

If that is true, this too would be amazing. I will consult my sources to see what they have on this.

While you're at it, please ask them to confirm the rumor that Jerome Bettis is indeed from from Detroit. This is also an amazing, allegedly true fact.

1994 - the 49ers went 3 - 1.
1995 - the Cowboys went 2 - 3.
1996 - the Packers 3 - 1.
1997 - the Broncos went 3 - 2.
1998 - the Broncos went 3 - 1.
1999 - the Rams went 2 - 2.
2000 - the Ravens went 4 - 0.
2001 - the Patriots went 3 - 1.
2002 - the Buccaneers went 3 - 1.
2003 - the Patriots went 4 - 0.

The past decade produced a 30 - 12 or 71.4% preseason record and only the Cowboys (1995) had a losing record in the preseason.

I'm pretty sure that the Chiefs beat the Broncos back in 1997, and the Broncos were awarded the Super Bowl trophy that year. I remember the game, and I think that Gonzalez caught the go-ahead touchdown pass.

Yeah it looks like in fact, as reported by the media, that Bettis is really from Detroit. My sources are telling me there was a little confusion at first because he was born on the Detroit/Canadian Border.

Am I missing something? I read it like five times. Of course they all went undefeated thru the PLAYOFFS.

All teams have to be undefeated through the playoffs to win the Super Bowl.

Try reading it a few more times. I'm sure you can figure it out.

I have found the same stat holds true for the NCAA basketball Champion.

Yeah, and I think Instant Replay was passed for the next year after that horrendous call.

Yes "We are not to enter the room until you get back".
No "Don't let anyone else in the room until I get back".
Yes "Of course, but we don't let you leave until he comes back".
No "Keep him here until I get back".

Ok. I REFUSE to believe this.

The Super Bowl is one thing. But the NCAA basketball tourney? Whatever, man. That's like six games or something.

Is that why Marty never got the Chiefs to the SB?

I just figured out something else that is amazing too. In the NBA..the team that wins the championship always wins EXACTLY 4 games in the finals.

Once they introduce the "fake slide" rule, this record will fall.

That record was almost broken this year! Didn't somebody predict a Colts upset this year, while Pittsburgh and Seattle were too preoccupied with playing each other that neither would notice the Colts sneaking in to win the game?

Yes, a phenomenon that is also eerily true of the World Series!

There's this professional league played on ice that uses the same format, I believe. Not sure the name of the sport or the league, however.

The World Curling Championships also go best-of-seven?
