View Full Version : Be A Man And Name A Frog

FAX

As many of you are aware, Ms. luv2rite owns a frog.

It is a civilian frog and, to my knowlege, has no affiliation with any clandestine organizations. Unfortunately, however, the frog has no name. It is nameless. Untitled. Sans soubriquet. This situation cannot stand. Nor, will we allow it to.

Therefore, and in keeping with the great frog naming tradition of the Planet, I have created this thread which I have entitled, "Be A Man And Name A Frog".

Please post your suggestions as to the proper and appropriate name for Ms. luv2rite's frog below. After a sufficient number of frog names have been collected in this manner, I shall ask Mr. Rain Man to publish a marvelous poll in which we can vote for the best name from the resulting selection. We will then present Ms. luv2rite with our recommendation on this matter.

Please forward all questions to Mr. Bob Dole.

It's an african dwarf frog. The maximum size is about an inch in diameter. While I am not completely for sure on it's gender, from the characteristics that I have found in trying to research this, it appears to be male. He doesn't mind tropical fish flakes, but definitely prefers freezedried bloodworms. I'm not for sure if he believes in UFO's or not. His favorite spots seem to be lounging around on the rocks at the bottom of the tank, or floating around at the top. He get along well with his tankmates. They are three african cichlids named Blondie, Sapphire, and Algernon (my niece named him), and a pleco (algae eater) also unnamed.

So, "Floater" is an option as well?

Could be. It's not uncommon for them to float around at the top. I read that there are times when you may have to reach in a touch them to make sure they're still alive. They are fun to watch when they are active, but they also have times when they are very dormant.

Yeah, lots of pets seem that way.

Of course I can't wait for you to ask someone to come of to your place and see your floater in the tank.

If you're referring to the character from The Princess Bride, his name was Inigo (in-E-go), not Indigo.
