For anyone with Mechanical/Electrical equipment work experience desiring a job change to the High Tech arena, my company will be ramping up openings very soon. We are Kokusai Semiconductor Equipment Corporation (division of Hitachi Kokusai) and provide manufacturing service/support for Semiconductor Diffusion furnaces that we sell to our customers (Intel, AMD, Micron, Samsung, etc..). Our main offices are in Vancouver, Washington and San Jose, Ca. We have service engineers at our customer sites at all Intel & Micron facilities in the US (Portland, Phoenix, Boston, Albuquerque, Colorado Springs, Manasas VA, Boise ID, and a new Micron facility opening soon in Utah. We also employ traveling engineers for equipment installations and troubleshooting. We offer a good salary with decent benefits and will be interviewing soon.

So anyone desiring a change to the High Tech world, shoot me a PM for resume and whatnot.

Nope, we are seriously looking for experienced technicians. We just got a 142 machine order from Micron in Utah, Boise & Virginia & are going to need people at those sites. And, we always have some small turnover at the Intel sites. Just had another one in Phoenix come up yesterday. The guy got his MBA and moved on. No joke.

Heh, I think they finally got sick of my bitching about working to 8pm every day. Plus, the customers want more techs on site.

The good thing is that they don't work for me just with me indirectly. That is a GOOD thing. Ya beeotch!!!

And yes, surfing time is limited for those service engineers as they are usually in the facility most of the time without Internet hookup. I, on the other hand, am at a desk in our office.

What is considered a "good salary"?

What experience would be required?

Programming? What type of programming? State? Function Block? Ladder? Sequential Function Chart?

Graphics Interface? Full Factory link? Managerial monitoring? Ethernet connectivity? Fiberoptics?

Troubleshoting?

Exactly what type of equipment are we talking about? Board assembly equipment? Wave soldering? Assemble and test? Assembly line?

Does it use Robotics? What type of robot? 4 axis? 6? 8?

What type of environment? Explosion Proof? IP55? IP66? IP67?
