Anyone interested in doing a mock draft here on the Planet?

I figured we could do a two round mock, with each member choosing a team to pick for. Each team gets a 24 hour window to get their pick in, or they get skipped. We could start it in mid-late March, after FA gets in swing, to get a better idea of what team needs are.

This thread is just a feeler, to see if we have enough people interested. We'll do something more official when it gets closer to the draft.

Actually, I was hoping to get all the members that are participating before picking teams. Then I would start a thread that allowed for first come, first served picking of teams.

Or I could set up a random number list that would allow people to pick a number, not knowing what team that was tied to until all numbers had been chosen.

I had planned on taking the last remaining team on the list.

I just wanted to give the guys that frequent this forum the first shot at getting in. I know the guys in here will be more likely to give an honest effort.

I'll try and figure out a way to randomly assign the numbers to GMs.

By the way, I'm making this up as I go. If anyone has suggestions, feel free to chime in.

The biggets obstacle we'll have is the time between draft picks. We need to give people enough time to get on the site and pick without it being a hassle, but we can't go days in between picks due to time restraints. We'll probably have to rely on picks getting made faster by the more regular posters, so that every team doesn't take the max time allowed.

You've got 32 planeteers, representing each team. If a particular rep for Team A is not on-line, and doesn't pick for an hour or so (pre-determined clock), then have all other 31 reps(or as many as are on-line at that time) pick for that team by open suggestion(NOT a poll), majority rules. Then move on to the next pick.

It's not like a fantasy draft where you have to set aside a certain time and date. As long as you check in to the Planet on a frequent basis, you'll be able to find time to make the pick.

Okay, the Gm spots are full. PHOG got in 6 minutes before Stumppy for the last spot.

I'll randomly draw for teams tonight, and put together the rules, then I'll PM everyone.

I'm going to tentatively set the start date for Wednesday the 22nd. I'll start a new thread for the actual draft.
