I KNOW I won't win. I've never bought a lottery ticket in my life. That's for those who are bad at math.

Funny, my stereotype of a lottery winner pretty much matches my stereotype of Skip.

Skip, you better go buy a ticket!

Sweet and holy don't discribe skip.

I’ll only play a buck on these things; statistically you don’t change your odds by buying more.

Heard a story from a fellow salesman today, he was standing behind a gal at the QT who laid down $200 on tickets cause she read that you have a 1 in 63 chance of winning on the power ball. What she fails to realize that the vast majority of those wins are in the nature of $3.00, so basically she just spent $200 to get a return of $6.

Now when I win tomorrow I’ve got the money all split up, some will go into a foundation (have to give some back to the little folk), trust funds all around for the family, a slush fund for those must have items, and the rest into my Corp.

A guy at the office goes around and collects five bucks from everybody to buy a bunch of tickets... presumably so we'd split the pot if one hit.

I'm suspicious that he's not really buying any tickets at all. I think if I ever switch jobs I'm gonna start up that racket.

Heh! If he is, he will likely say it was his "own ticket he bought on the side" that won should it should it ever hit. You will be left with two choices, take him to court or BOOM! make him take a dirt nap.

Smart "groups players" require the buyer to make photocopies of all the tickets in advance.

In the past photocopies were made. I think he got lazy.

Or, he's pocketing the cash.
A well placed blow across the temple with a crow bar will remind him to make copies.

Or a bird bomb in his cube could get the point across as well.

Hey, can I borrow a sawbuck from the winner? Since the winner is on this board right now - I would really appreciate it.

Bought 3 tickets tonight myself (one for me, wife, and son).

Too bad I'm not already rich, old, or a loser. My odds are slimmed down to not getting a single number at this point.

Suspicious? You don't ask to see the tickets? I need to do business with you. Phobia said you were easy.

I just donated $5 to the cause. May some lucky person have fun with half of it, oh and Uncle Sam can take the other half and shove it "where the sun don't shine." ;)
