Got to go with defense. Football is a physical game and a big hit or stop really goes along way. Infact I would even say a big special teams play would motivate a little more than a 3 yard run into the endzone.

Edit ~ Now all bets are off if we are running up the score on Denver then I would say every point would be extra motivation :D

if your o puts up another 7 to give a 14 point lead, the defense can cut loose. It depends on the situation, I guess
