Are you drunk or just a bad speller? 'Cause Barney Fife would have busted you for either.

When I first got my DVR, it recorded the suggested programs and some of them were Andy Griffith, which I hadn't seen in a long time (I'm 26 so I don't remember the original show), but it was cracking me up.

The one where Barney buys the motorcycle and is using it in his police work was hilarious.

IIRC, he won the Emmy six or seven times in a row for his role a-s Barney.

a fav episode was when the state raised the weight and height requirements, and he was hanging by the neck in andy's closet trying to stretch himself.

R.I.P. Barney. Growing up I saw Andy Griffith every day on 41. That show and Dick Van Dyke still make me laugh.

"The show ran from 1960-1968, and Knotts won an unprecedented five Best Supporting Actor Emmys in a row as manic deputy Barney Fife"

Now the only reminder we'll have of Don Knotts is Mick Jagger.
They look exactly the same.

My parenting icons and the models for my fathering style were his character from Christmas store and the Dad from Calvin and Hobbes.

No, he was dressed in a hunting outfit, I believe, and posed as a mannequin.
