Jerry McDonald, of the Oakland Tribune, reports the Kansas City Chiefs are believed be interested in making a run at free agent CB Charles Woodson (Raiders).

If he can stay healthy, and we can afford him.

i'd prefer someone else. woodson hasn't been able to stay healthy and he's always been way overhyped.

I'm guessing this is Carl's way to drive up the price on Woodson, so at very least he'll

1) Put the Fade in cap hell if they decided to re-sign him, or

2) Drive him out of the AFC West.

Either way is good with me.

Woodson is a rare talent, it's just his health that's always been a concern. He's still in his prime agewise. If we could get him signed to a contract which has injury protection language in it like we did with Kendrell, then I'm for it. However, I don't believe we'll be able to afford someone in Woodson's price range, because he'll be asking for a lot...
