This is what happens when you live your life partying your ass off. It will catch up to you later, then the body shuts down. Kirby was a great player and will be missed. RIP Mr. Puckett.

It's painfully obvious you're not in the medical professional or that bullshit you just spouted would have never made it to the board. He died of a stroke(a sudden loss of consciousness resulting when the rupture or occlusion of a blood vessel leads to oxygen lack in the brain)/ My grandfather died of the same condition and he wasn't a partier. Dumbass.

Kirby was a piece of sh*t. His public image didn't match reality.

While his public image may not match reality, he played the game the way it was meant to be played.

I don't think he was a piece of shit. He was a man with some demons.

RiP Kirby, when i was a kid i loved watching him play. I just loved the way he played the game. Outside of the game, alot of people have problems. Its the way life is.

While his public image may not match reality, he played the game the way it was meant to be played.Ty Cobb played the game the right way too, but Puckett's a bigger SOB than Cobb ever was. I don't care how hard you play the game. You cease being a respectable human being the minute you put a loaded gun to the head of your wife while she's holding your child. That's just my opinion, though. Maybe I don't value a .318 career average as much as I should, though.

I don't know if Puckett could be considered a bigger SOB than Cobb was, considering that Cobb was racist, and at times, Cobb played the game dirty, especially when sliding, he is known to spike certain people on the process. I don't disagee on the loaded gun on the head of a wife. I agree with that, but he's not the only one that does that stuff, since almost some athletes does something similar to that, or worse.

Well, sometimes a career average doesn't mean anything if he has a .360 OBP% .477 SLG and a .837 OPS.

Cobb was a racist in the 1920s. That hardly compares to what Kirby has done in his life.

Now that we've had someone sh*t on his grave, I guess the only thing left is the headline in tomorrow's paper..... Pucket dead, never saw it coming

Sorry.

I'm going to hell.

I like the way the man played the game.....

What we read in the media about him (like 80% of what we read about everybody famous) is probably fabricated b.s.

Regardless of what his home life may or may not have been....I admire the way the man played the game....

He seemed to enjoy it....and made us remember in the world series what we all use to dream of when we were 13 years old......

RIP Kirby...

kirby puckett gave fatasses a chance everywhere to play baseball. Ty Cobb was the bigger SOB. Ty Cobb beat up a WWI vet that lost his arm in a war. On the one arm he did have the vet had 2 fingers.

I used to play baseball on traveling teams and played in high school. I liked the way kirby would talk about his day. He would always say "I am strugglin, i can't get confortable against this pitcher" Then go out and mash. There was always that one guy you wanted to say, shutup you know your going to atleast get 3 hits.
