It sucks, but it's the new era of the NFL... teams must do these things to compete. There's been lots of talk about Lamar not having the funds or willingness to spend his money to lure free agents... well, this is one vehicle to help put those types of dollars in your pocket.

I like how Bowlen did Invesco Field at Mile High... still has a connection to the name everyone loved. Hopefully, they will do the same for you guys.

I think it was Riggins that was more or less saying the same thing. He said that the need to increase revenue makes it almost a necessity but people are still going to know it as Arrowhead pretty much the same way people still refer to Invesco as Mile High.

Seriously though... why not?

Seems like a happy medium.

How many fans would be pissed call it "Arrowhead Mountain Spring Water Stadium". Lamar gets his money, and the fans can keep calling calling it "Arrowhead" for short.

Come on Carl! Get it done!

from my understanding Arrowhead will remain arrowhead... Lamar has said before that he wont sell out on stadium naming rights on current arrowhead

Lamar is interested in selling naming rights to the Rolling roof...

Plain and simple...

It would be KC CHIEFS BEAT DENVER BRONCOS FOR THE AFC CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE AT ARROWHEAD STADIUM UNDER THE APPLEBEES ROOF

or something

It will, whatever the small print on the stadium says.....be Arrowhead.

It's gonna happen. It's just the way things are now. Not saying its right. just that getting all mad at Lamar won't help. It's just the nature of the beast. We can still call it whatever we want to call it.

Or he could just cheat and take the other Bronco approach regarding players salaries to free up the cash. I mean he really wiuldn't gain any real advantage, right? :p

Verizon. The top of the roof can have the Verizon logo and the bottom can say "Can you hear me now?" with the obvious answer being now because it's Arrowhead with a ****ing roof..of course you cant her a damn thing

Doesn't Arrowhead already own the naming rights to the Pond in Anaheim?

If so, would they spend more money?

The Hunts do not want to change the name. They want it to stay Arrowhead. The naming rights are for the roof and 2/3 of the money would go to area charities.

Who says the Royals want to sell the naming rights to the roof?

It won't be just Lamars roof.

Yeah didn't Denver do some deal with Invesco, the outfit that went out or under or bankrupt, corrupted, or something?

The only time anyone says the whole name of the stadium is when they have ten minutes for a cup of coffee.

We'll see how long the Invesco part stays around when renewal time comes up.

Yeah I'm a purist. It's taken me forever to warm up to calling Royals Stadium "Kauffman", or "The K." And that was for the place being named after the prince of baseball in KC, with no other commercial ties.

Those would really be the only acceptable ones, except...
