Someone in the AFC West. It's usually the way these things work.

The Ravens do, they have what, 2 corners on their roster.

He's going to get some cash. I'd say $6-8m SB. There is any number of teams that could take him. He's a legit starting CB, IMO.

It will cost us at least that much to replace him.

I agree. But a lot of people on here bitched for years about his initial contract which only had a $5m SB, IIRC.

I guess it won't cost us too much to replace him, though, because we're replacing him with what we already have...[insert dancing bananas].

We could go after Walt Harris or Brian Williams.

Seems as reasonable as anyone else. Otherwise we are going to have to hit the FA market (which CP says we aren't doing).

I was hoping that the Chiefs would re-sign him, but after hearing the King's comments about "getting younger" at the position, the chances are non existent.

But since alchohol is a fine preservative, Warfield is years younger than you'd expect...

Actually Madison didn't get much of anything from the Giants so I'd guess about the same for Warfield.

Knowing our luck the Faders pick him up and he has some kind of record breaking, breakout season.

Everyone who thinks warfield sucks is gonna wish we had kept him when he goes to an AFCW team with a good defensive line

6-8 Million ?
Sure. Take off your red and yellow glasses. The way some here talk about Warfield, you would think he made a difference or a pro bowl !

Sam Madison got a cheap deal and he is much better than Eric.

Also , keep in mind that one more strike and he will be suspended for a year.

I talked to Eric the other day, and there are a few teams interested, but the Patriots are making the strongest push for him right now.

Dave

The rest of the league has figured out that corners aren't as valuable today as they were 10 years ago.

Gunt will catch up in about another 5 years.

I don't think Warfield sucks. I just think he's a very average corner, and I don't really care what team he goes to. He's pretty much a long term project that didn't really pan out.

The fastest sprinting he ever did around Arrowhead was from the locker room to his car because he didn't want to miss happy hour!

:D

Eric invited me over the other day, and we discussed his plans over tea and crumpets. It appears as if he is serious about returing to school to earn a graduate degree in astrophysics. He has been accepted at MIT, and is also planning on attending the St. Patrick's day costum eparty through the Castro district with his new friend...

We'll see what happens, but the Patriots are the frontrunner at this point. Strange that you idiots are so skeptical that someone who posts on here has actually met one of the players.

I got really drunk last nite, but I didn't see Warfield. He told me the other day that he doesn't go to frat parties.
