I have a concern, though. On my way into the office this morning, I stopped at an intersection and, having glanced out the window, noticed an extraordinary amount of litter on the side of the street including cigarette butts, plastic straws, drink containers, and so forth.

I then realized that the Chinese are going to kick our asses. Why? Because China has made advances in all the sciences, there are about 2 billion of them, they have a well prepared military, they don't like us, and in China if you were to throw a cigarette butt out the window, you would lose your hand.

Freedom has led to Americans doing whatever we want, whenever we want. No discipline. No self-respect. No respect for others. Just decadence and self-indulgence.

I am going to order a Chinese language tape today and learn to speak Mandarin because I, for one, want to survive.

I was leaving the office last night, driving through downtown, and the auto show was done for the evening and droves of people were filling the sidewalks & streets. I was driving into work this morning and noticed all the litter around Tanner's and more litter in the parking lot across from Bartle Hall, and I thought: Sweet, people are finally hanging out downtown!

However, I think it would be best that, rather than congregate downtown, those people should disperse into the suburbs and rural areas so the Chinese can't target them all at once.
