Agent: Titans agree to terms with former Colts Linebacker

By JIM WYATT
Staff writer

The Titans agreed to terms Monday morning on a long-term deal for former Colts linebacker David Thornton, according to the player’s agent.

Thornton visited Baptist Sports Park over the weekend. Last night Thornton’s agent, Brian Mackler, and the Titans began working on a contract.

The deal is for five years and hinges on Thornton passing a physical, which he’s scheduled to take today.

Thornton started 47 of 48 games over the past three seasons with the Colts.

Tennessean.com will have more on this story as it becomes available.

According to the Colts board... it's rumored to be in the neighborhood of 5 years, $22.5 million, $8 million in bonus money. I can't confirm that though.

Didn't he play the role of the father in Mary Poppins?
