VIKES SHIP CULPEPPER TO FINS

Jay Glazer of FOXSports.com reports that the Minnesota Vikings have traded quarterback Daunte Culpepper to the Miami Dolphins for a second-round selection in the 2006 draft.

The deal is contingent on Culpepper passing a physical.

how can he pass a physical if his leg is still fugged?

Probably should've included his last name in the thread title. You know, since the Chiefs also have a player named Dante.

Good for the Fins. If Daunte can actually play and pass a physical..he may be just what they need.

At least there won't be a Moss-Culpepper reunion in Oaktown

You don't have to be 100%. Just show that your recovery is on track for where it ought to be. I'm not sure exactly what he did to his leg, but I'm sure it wasn't like he crushed his entire femur or something -- i.e. some weird injury that may or may not involve full recovery.

Too late. They're already there. They weren't a joke last year for heaven's sake.

Brad Johnson probably. Presumably they'll draft or pick up someone that they can bring along behind him.

hahaha The great St Nick has to have a trade worked out before a physical would be granted

Would a significant portion of this BB population have complaints? I think you'd be a fool to think otherwise.
You could probably make that arguement for anyone on the team.

What? We released Bober? Dammit Carl! :cuss:

IMO Miami will become the media darlings in 2006. Mike Greenberg has already said he would love to see Miami to become the first ever to play a SB in its home stadium.

FYI..........next year's SB is in Miami.

If I was a Dolphins fan I would rather have gotten Brees. Besides the fact Culpepper probably isn't going to be ready for the start of the season, you also have to consider the fact Culpepper was horrible last year without Randy Moss and Scott Linehan and he won't have either one of those guys in Miami.

Brees is qouted as saying(AP), worst case he could miss the '06 season

This is huge for Daunte... beings that he went to University of Central Florida, and all. He is gonna have a huge resurrection.

Miami is still running Linehan's offense. And last year he had what. three bad games? He is still the same guy that would have been mvp if Manning hadn't thrown 49 tds. And I would prefer a knee injury over a shoulder one on a qb anyday.

I'm sure Brees was standing in his kitchen, without a shirt on, yelling at his cell phone. "SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!!"

Didn't we give the Fins a 2nd round pick for Surtain? If Culpepper is worth a 2nd, then Surtain should have only cost us a 5th or 6th!!!!!!!!

Saban did a good job for his team and Carl screwed us!!

Marshall Faulk was traded for a 2nd and a 5th and became the MVP that season.

You're retarded for comparing the two.

Culpepper is coming off a major surgery.

You are worried about Plummer???? No qb in the division is scary yet. Though Rivers and Walters have the potential to be scarier than him.... The Raiders are probably draftin Young now too.

They have a VERY good chance at the playoffs. AFC East as a whole has a relatively soft schedule this year compared to last year, and they did pretty well last year...

Yeah, I'm really not looking forward to Daunte/Chambers as a combo. Their TE is pretty solid too, and Ronnie Brown.

If they can get their OLine straightened out, then look out.

Ick.

Chambers is a very, very good WR. McMichael is a fine TE, and Brown is a fine RB.

Quarterbacks and stud corners have almost the same value.

Sounds like Brees was Saban's first choice, but he wanted too much $$$.
