Thinking about ordering a new Dell XPS M140 laptop computer. Anybody know anything about them or if they are worth the $$?

Do yourself a favor and install a wireless router in your home, if you don't already have one. Then you'll be able to post from the crapper, and there is no way to put a dollar value on that.

The crapper is where a Dell belongs.

dell laptops are horrible. They wear out real quick.
I have one, but I don't use it.
I built my own PC. That's the real way to go.

I don't know guys, I have one Dell laptop that is 6 years old and kicking, I have another (D800) that is only a couple of years old but I beat the f**k out of it and it's still going strong. Hell, the D800 was even a refurb.

I just got a brand new Dell Inspiron B130 laptop that I got thru the website for $600. Only had it a couple of weeks now, but I love it. Got the wireless card of course, so surfing from anywhere within 500 ft. of the house is no problem....

I've had pretty good luck with Dell's. I'm on my thrid one (I replace mine every 2-3 years due to technology advances). The hard drive went out on the last one, but Dell replaced it. Other than that, I haven't had any problems. I use mine 10+ hours a day and take it everywhere, so it takes a real beating.

Dell laptops are f'ing evil. On many model they prevent you from using third party power supplies and batteries.
