That's funny, not because I agree but because Carl Peterson has forgotten more about being a General Manager and President of an NFL franchise than any of you have ever known collectively.

I have no doubt that you are correct.

That doesn't change the fact that he's been the man in charge for 17 years of mediocrity.

That screams incompetence, or apathy.

Actually, I'd vote for apathetic, with emphasis on the "pathetic" part of the word.

Some of us have been following them since 1963 when they played their first game in KC.

The difference being is that many of us know that football is just a game and not every team gets to play in the SB.

If you can't have winners you all seem to become whiners. IT'S A ****ING GAME!!!

Got rid of some bad players and signed the Q. The Q, the only Denver running back to never have made it. I can't believe this may be LJ's back up. YOu think LJ is bad at blocking, you can't believe how bad Q tip is.

Carl Peterson incompetent? I don't think so. He's markedly better than the bad GMs of the league.

IMO, his tenure as Chiefs GM is comparable to Vermeil and Schottenheimer's tenures as head coach. Good, but never great. Problem being, unlike Vermeil and Marty, Peterson hasn't been replaced after almost two decades of "good, not great".

He's not a terrible GM. But he's clearly been unable to take numerous teams to the next level. It's time to move on.

Dear Greatest Fans in the NFL:

I am surprised that occasionally I have to remind you why the Hunt family has chosen me, the longest tenured General Manager in professional sports, to chart the direction of the Kansas City Chiefs. Briefly, let me outline the top ten highlights of my impressive, Hall of Fame Quality Resume:

1. President, CEO AND General Manager: I'm three guys in one. That means I have at least three voices in my head at any given time.

2. Consecutive Sellouts: I set the all time record for the franchise. Unstoppable, baby. The real fans know me and love me. Outsiders, not so much.

3. Nachos: Fans will agree, they're cheezier than ever.

4. Bi-State II: OK, it didn't pass, but talk to me after April 4th.

5. Stadium Improvements, Rolling Roof: See point #4 above. And I'll finally bring KC a Super Bowl, like I promised.

6. Profitability: Chiefs make the Hunt family millions and millions every year.

7. Did I mention the Nachos?

8. Arrowhead Pavilion: A tent like no other to house our VIPs... and protect them from the unwashed rabble in the parking lots.

9. Big XII Championship Games, Billy Graham Crusade, MU vs. Arkansas St. KU vs Oklahoma. Pittsburgh St. VS. NWMSU. What can I say? I know quality entertainment when I see it.

10. The players and agents love my kinder, gentler side during contract negotiations.

Now STFD and STFU. Some of you people are worse than Ethan Locke.

You are, and continue to be, the best fans in the NFL. Don't forget to vote "YES" on April 4th, and pay off your 2006 season tickets in full ASAP. We have to buy more airtime and billboards for this damn April 4th thing.

Your Pal,
Carl "Delano" Peterson
