Jets, Falcs, Hawks play big stakes hold’em… Atlanta, Seattle, and the Jets remained locked in the NFL’s version of a game of chicken over the rights to franchised Jets’ DE John Abraham. Abraham has reportedly reached an agreement in principle on a contract with the Falcons, however, Atlanta is only offering the Jets their second round pick, the 47th overall, as compensation. On the other hand, the Jets have reportedly agreed to accept Seattle’s #1 pick, the 31st overall, for Abraham, but the Seahawks don’t have a deal with Abraham. The Falcons have said that they won’t be upping their ante by offering the Jets their first rounder, the 15th overall, but could be talked into including another pick, possibly their 3rd overall, in the package.

If the Falcons are offering their 2nd and 3rd, and the Seahawks just stand on their offer of their first, I'd take the Falcons up on their offer, if I were Tannenbaum.

Three teams have been led by Abraham:

Jews, Christians, Muslims. He was going to put his son on waivers, but God came through to make him a starter.
