I'll be curious to see where Mke Davis ends up. Somebody is going to try and get him in house soon. Mizzou might be a good fit.

If that happens, Mizzou might actually become a decent team.

Nope, most MUrons would welcome that. Me thinks you could put the name of Quinn Snyder in that phrase .:D

Bring Back The Mighty Quinn .........

Come all without, come all within
You’ll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You’ll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

Everybody’s building ships and boats
Some are building monuments, others jotting down notes
Everybody’s in despair, every girl and boy
But when Quinn the Tigger coach gets back here
Every Tigger's gonna jump for joy

Come all without, come all within
You’ll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You’ll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

I like to go just like the rest, I like my sugar sweet
But jumping queues and making haste
Just ain’t my cup of meat
Everyone’s beneath the trees feeding pigeons on a limb
But when Quinn the Tigger's coach gets back here
All the Tiggers gonna run to him

Come all without, come all within
You’ll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You’ll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

Let me do what I want to do, I can’t decide ’em all
Just tell me where to put ’em, and I’ll tell you who call
Nobody can get no sleep, there’s someone on everyone’s toes
But when Quinn the Tigger's coach gets back here
Every Tigger gonna want to doze

Come all without, come all within
You’ll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn
Come all without, come all within
You’ll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn

Actually, Dana Altman would be a great fit for Mizzou. And it would let poor old KSU in on the joke. Nobody ever pays any attention to them.

I'll give them credit when Norm was there. He had some respected teams.......

It's been all downhill for them since.

Yeah, Alford would be a good choice. He's being run out of Iowa so maybe he could hide out in Missouri.........like Jesse James did.

Kinda the way I saw it but considering the source, plus he is a KSU fan, it's plain to see why he didn't see it.

If MU would land Davis could Darrell Arthur end up going to MU? He almost gave a verbal to Indiana.

As for the other points. Mike Davis is a good recruiter, not as good of a game coach. Davis might have been a better recruiter than Knight was, but Knight was a better coach, and more importantly, he recruited Indiana kids. Davis' recruiting base is largely from the deep south.

I think some people at IU are scared off of Alford's record with Iowa. Supposedly one of the ESPN guys said he believes the AD is worried that Steve would become such a larger than life figure as coach there he'd have control of the program. Kinda like Knight did. I think if he could get back to recruiting Indiana kids as well as he did Iowa kids, he'd turn Indiana back into a really good team. But I can understand the concern about him being larger than life and being really difficult to fire should he fail.

Ya see that's part of the problem with Alford. He can't even keep the top Iowa kids in state. This year's Mr. Basketball signed with Wisc.

The kids Dad was a freaking QB at Iowa, and Alford can't get him?

Most of the Iowa kids now on the roster would have gone to Iowa no matter who was coaching.

Yeah... maybe his dad had something to do with that though. Just like Sean May went to UNC over Indiana, where his dad played. I mean some kids are gonna go out of state, but both IU and Purdue really need to recruit the state better. Instead its best players are going to Duke and Ohio State and Xavier and Memphis...

I just hope they get a good coach. KSU too.

The Big 12 needs to be a top conference if KU is to return to it's peak.

We don't get better by playing chumps every week, and we only play Texas once.

Part of it is Self's fault. KU was supposed to play AT Michigan State and AT Georgia Tech next year but Self is postponing both games for a home date with periennial power USC.

Kinda funny seeing this weak ass thread yet all you hear from Jayhawk fans on this board is how MU isn't worthy enough to be their rival and how MU & KSU fans are so jealous and preoccupied with seeing KU fail because "thats all we have".
