I concur I'd rather go with the Penn State Senior Bowl MVP myself too

I'll be disappointed definately. Hali seems the safer choice and is the more complete player.

My thoughts exactly.

Now, it looks like Manny Lawson has entered the fold as another possible first round candidate.

I would put Kiwi and Manny ahead of Hali just because I wouldn't ever draft a DE in the 1st round that is under 6'3.

So you wouldn't have drafted Freeny?

He wouldn't be one of my top 5 choices. If it was going to be Kiwi I'd prefer it if they could drop a few spots grab him and pick up a 3rd round pick in addition. Right now Kiwi is a one trick pony; a speed pass rusher. It's a trick the Chiefs need. I'd prefer a full time 3 down player, but I could live with a guy who can get to the QB on passing downs.

I'm more worried now of Denver taking Hali at 15 before we get a chance to.

I would be very disappointed if we draft Kiwi in the 1st round. As I was watching him play a few times this past season, I wasn't all that impressed. He looked like he wasn't putting forth much effort. I get this feeling that he's got Ryan Sims-like bust potential.

I'd not only take Hali or Lawson before Kiwi, I'd take Kamerion Wimbley before Kiwi too.

I'm not sure what to think of this post. Height isn't all it's cracked up to be - see Dwight Freeney.

Height should be measured in relationship to other attributes. And that's precisely why I'd never draft Kiwi. There's a HUGE difference in leverage and strength between 6'2", 265 lbs. and 6'7", 265 lbs.

Kiwi is gonna have problems in the NFL with linemen getting underneath him and pushing him around. In fact, that's PRECISELY what happened at the Senior Bowl.
