ESPN just announced Paul Dana has died.

He was on Cold Pizza day before yesterday. I remember him saying his wife was staying in Indu so her could go with him to the next race in Japan.

The other driver, Ed Carpenter, will be fine.

Race will go on but other Letterman cars, including Danica's have been pulled out.

It's ****ing racing. Thats what you get paid for is too go to the edge. You can't cancel a race because someone dies.

Neil Bonnett and a rookie died in practice before a Daytona 500 and they went on with the race

same with Adam Petty

It is a sport that is dangerous and the drivers know the risk and they choose to roll the dice

He was in the car that came speeding into the first car that had wrecked and was nearly at rest.

Yup.

Poll the drivers. I can assure you that every one of them, to the man, would vote to keep the race. I'd bet you the dead guy would say the same thing.

Sad story. Apparantly he was a St. Louis area kid who got a Journalism degree from Northwestern, but decided to persue his dream of racing.

What the hell does any of this have to do with the Danica Patrick Racing League? At least tell me there's a picture of her on his tombstone or something.

its not about abc wanting dollars. It's about racing. No one guy is bigger than racing.

Let's see if I can explain it simple enough for you to understand, some owners have more then one car racing, so they need a driver for each car...those drivers, driving for the same owner, sort of feel a kinship, and think of each other as team mates, she was his team mate, was that simple enough for you?

It sounds like the accident was his fault... love him or hate him, Robin Miller usually tells it like it is, especially when it comes to drivers:
