That second number ($1.75 mil) never made any sense to me. Carl has done some dumb things over his time here (Carlton Gray, for example) but Walls and $1.75 mil just never sounded right...

Walls can probably make up to 1.75 mill if he reaches all of the incentives in his contract.

exactly and it doesn't really matter it's a one year deal we can cut him every day without problems.

My guess he'd have to have a ProBowl year in 2006.

I would welcome it.... To make 1.75M

No kidding. I'm glad it's only $585,000 instead of the original 1.75 mill. If he's got incentives in there that could equal to 1.75 mill be my guest and make that money.

Im thinking the $585,000 would be his BASE salary. Mind you, that 1.75 million is probably just a total figure of his overall salary.

What I'm saying is, he is making $585,000 as his base. If you add all the incentives, and plus bonuses, the total contract equals out to be $1.75 million.

depends on how those bonuses are written...

if he has to really earn them then it's fine ... if they are those crappy just show up and don't puke all over yourself, then it's prolly too much for Walls.

True dat. Your right Laz. It all depends on the details of how those bonuses are written.

Then Im guessing that would have an affect as to how the contract is structured.
