Royals took Game 1 after their 6 run comeback against Jon Garland & co.

DeJesus will not play today because he strained a hammy (i think).

Costa will start in his place, though I'm not sure who will lead off.

Pitching Matchup is Javier Vasquez v. Denny Bautista.

Bautista is exciting, but needsto develop stamina and consistency.

1:10 first pitch on RSTN.

If you want to follow along, I'll be watching the whole thing.

Why would they black out a game that we didn't sell out?

Isn't that usually when your own town doesn't sell out a game?

Is it being blacked out in Chi-town?

Yeah, on 810 internet, it's much slower. Probably 5-10 seconds behind the actual pitch or so.

I use MLB Audio to listen most of the baseball games, and it's clear that it is behind for all of the games, for the most part.

A win is credited to a starting pitcher if he held the lead when he left the game and his team never subsequently lost the lead, or to the pitcher who was the "pitcher of record" when the winning run was scored (the last pitcher who got the last out when his team scored the winning run).

TK's right, but just going five doesn't make you eligible for shit.

No, but I dont choose my team based on locality (in fact I dont think locality is even a legitimate reason to choose a team, its completely arbitrary). I choose them based on their inherent value/specialness to me. Certain teams stand out more than others to each fan (for reasons unrelated to winning, your just naturally attracted to certain clubs). I am naturally attracted to the Broncos, White Sox, Miami Hurricanes and Pittsburgh Penguins
