MNF, Cheers and Dallas. This was the easiest one so far for me. TV was starting to suck compared to the previous decade.

Excellent point, I withdraw my complaint

I'm stunned - STUNNED, I tell you - that in the midst of this cultural wasteland, Cheers only has about 70 percent of possible votes, and Newhart only has about 20 percent.

Cheers owns all.
Cheers is the only show I would really care about.
But I voted for: Cheers, Monday Night Football, and "What's up with all the movies?"

This is pretty funny actually. Back then "who shot J.R." was as big of a deal at the water coolers as Tony Soprano's recent problems.

Where's Benny Hill :) ?
Or an old Saturday Night live episode....at that time...a great cast..Billy Crystal, Martin Short, Christopher Guest, etc. etc.

What is scarey about both of these polls is that the majority of you guys would watch the The Beverly Hillbillies and The A Team.

I voted for Dallas, reruns come on during the middle right now and I have kind of like the show, also since nothing is on that time of day.

MNF
Cheers, but only if it was before Diane left the show.
Newhart.
TV was heading down hill by now.

I went with Dynasty.

Moonlighting by a long shot...From 85-87 it was probably one of the best shows ever made.
Family Ties too.....Its still one of my favorite sitcoms....I love the goofy sense of humor on that show. Michael J Fox's comic timing was brilliant.

Moonlighting is one of my faves of all time. Willis was great in that. I also used to work with his brother, Robert Willis.

The early years of Moonlighting were pretty damn good.
I recall an episode in which Willis was all broke up over a girl from his past (Dana Delany=hot), complete with old Isley Brothers tunes and lots of moping. Then, out of nowhere, a wacky car chase breaks out including a hearse (with payload) skidding to a stop on a ballfield, dumping the coffin on second base. Willis jumps out, waves his arms and yells, "Safe, he's safe!"
I still remember literally ROFL

That was during the 2nd season. I have the DVD Season 1&2. This show was full of wacky moments like that.

For some reason when I saw Newhart I was thinking of the original Newhart show. I now rescind that selection in favor of Night Court.
