I was watching "mixed martial arts" fighting last night on HDNet, and I have to confess I may be hooked. It was really awesome to see different diciplines go at it in a no holds barred (sans nut kicking) fight. There was this "little" 145 pound wrestler on there that was amazing. The guy was like lighting in a bottle, and had power to boot. I guess I am going to have to start following this.

Anyone here know about the different orgainizations, and know which are the best and not scripted wrastlin' BS?

Pride FC (http://www.pridefc.com) is my favorite. This is a MMA ringsport held in Japan. PPV costs $30. There's usually 8 fights per show.

UFC (http://www.ufc.tv) is the biggest American production.
TUF (http://www.theultimatefighter.tv/) is the UFC's tv show.
PPV costs $40. usually 6 fights

the UFC definately has the best fighters in North & South America. PrideFC has the best from everywhere else. The biggest difference is the production values. Pride is huge in Japan. All the shows are shown on TV. they routinely sell out 50,000 seats.
