BTW here's an oldie but goodie (sorry to rub salt in the wound :))

TB is just as bad as we are and I don't see us getting swept by them this year either.

I can't agree with this.

They have put together a pretty decent lineup.

They also have an ace-quality pitcher in Scott Kazmir.

The only area the Royals have an edge is in the bullpen.

I think they wouldn't wind up with so many losses if they weren't in the AL east.

And they were missing two of their better hitters, Huff and Baldelli. :(

That's why I said ONE of the worst. They just suck a bit less than we do. Right now, I wouldn't like our chances in a 3 game set against a Japanese Little League team.

So by vacation you can't check scores and not know if they won or loss unless by accident.

I thought this team would get better when we got back Redman, Grinke, MacDougal, and Hernandez

but this team is just pathetic.

Buddy Bell has proven he cannot handle a bullpen.

he kept Hudson is there too long last night, then did the same today with Stemle.

his sh!tty handling of the 'pen has been the story of the season so far

Buddy hasn't handled the pen perfectly, but I think a large part of that has to do with our starting pitching bombing out. It's put a strain on the pen for sure, he's having to leave guys out there to die because we're overworking everybody and running out of arms. He's really not left any of our starters out to die.

I agree, tk, but this team needs to get some wins early.

What is he saving those arms for?

Running out of arms is not a problem if we are mathematiclly eliminated by the end of April

04-16-2006, 06:23 PM
Well, I'm guessing he thought the bullpen was our strength, so if the starters got in trouble he'd go to that. He's been pretty quick with the hook on starters, and slower on the hook with relievers. It definitely hasn't worked out so far.

Wow, another game another flame out by the bully. We might as well not even let these pieces of crap come in. I really thought this year might be a bit different but at this rate it is more of the same old sad sack Royals. Lots of season left and I am not giving up but when we have started like this in the past it has started a trend of losing.

Atleast it is early still and we are 4.5 back right now, it could be ALOT worse, we just need a W, bad. There is no chemistry so far on offense and zero pitching, things can only go up, just a matter of when and is it too late.

Next year is what I am really looking forward too, this year is just a springboard and hopefully good things will happen during the season.
