Were they slanky homers?

Although Pujols has plenty of opposite field power, a slanked shot off of the bat would result in a liner down the first base line, or quite a ways out of play into foul territory on the right side.

Isn't he married?? I think he is...

One of my friends fiance's played HS ball with him, he cheers for him too, but is a huge royals fan.

Pujols = best hitter in baseball.
Everyone knows my loathing for the Cards, but I'll alwyas wish Albert the best. I've met the man twice and he's very grounded and an all-around nice guy.

Damn, I sold my tickets to today's game, and instead went to my aunt's house for the family Easter festivities. :banghead:

We don't get a great deal of baseball coverage here but man i'm impressed when one of these dudes crushes one the best part of 400 feet.

And sterioids or not (not that i'm suggesting pujols is on em), you still gotta connect (at the right angle) with a ball coming your way at 90+ mile an hour.

My college roommate played HS baseball against him (for Olathe South)..said he tried to spike him one time to break up a dp and Pujols just jumped over the top of him like it waddn't no thing but a chicken wing.

I am the same way. I've never met him but he is one Cardinals player I wont root against.

Albert is the man who can carry a team. 3 HRs....

Why they pitched to him in the 9th I'll never understand.

As natural a hitter as a person can be (if he's not juiced). I heard him say in an interview after the game that he wasn't trying to hit that last one out of the park. Just hit it well and drive it into the gap. Hell it went out of the park more than half way up the foul pole, and he wasn't even trying! Fudge, man!
