I can't imagine them drafting him. Deuce isn't that old, and he's very good. It seems they could either get extra picks, or fill another need.
They gotta feel that this is retribution for last year to them.

I don't think Tom Benson wants to pay Reggie Bush.

I think he may in order to encourage a trade. Though NO is likely going to do that anyways.

Well...the Jets have the path of least resistance to get to Bush.

On ESPN there was actually some speculation over whether or not Bush will be the first pick over all, but as I said it was merely speculation.

I think someone is going to move up to get Bush so he won't have to tell New Orleans anything.

I didn't think he'd be number one, but early I was thinkink it would be the Tackle...maybe Mario. But I didn't think Bush would be first.

It depends really on whom it is you're asking; I think the number one spot might be a bit more up in the air then we realize.

Yep. That is great. I bet Donk fans are feeling like they were robbed now. I hear the Faiders want in on some of this action too.

Probably the Chiefs-they will trade up, first and second this year and first and third next.

ESPN's Sal Paolantonio reported that other teams are interested in trading up and trying to get Bush in the draft. Among five teams that have contacted the Saints are the Jets, Raiders and the Packers. The Cardinals might be interested in trading up to No. 2, also, but they are not interested in drafting Bush.

Bush's agent Joel Segal told Paolantonio that he has spoken to the Saints and they have given him every indication that they are preparing to take Bush with the second pick. No contract negotiations have begun as of yet.

Ehh, or Leinart/Young maybe. That would be really weird if Williams/Davis went 1 and 2.

Be interesting to see if New Orleans will pay Bush what he wants, which will probably be huge money.

I don't think the Aints are going for Bush.

They have alot of needs and McCallister. I'll wager they trade down, possibly wiht the Jets, aquire a good pick and take Fergeson.

I think Bush will be #2. I don't know what team will be in that slot, but he will go there.

How can New Orleans already have McAllister making money, having just signed Drew Brees, and pay Bush the what, $30 million guaranteed, that he is going to be asking for?

For once, the start of the draft might be worth watching, just to see who ends up picking there.

Yeah, this should be one of the more entertaining drafts. It's always unpredictable but it's hard telling what anyone is going to do from top to bottom.

Sal Paolantonio just said a few minutes ago on sportscenter than the Sains were planning to take Bush but would consider offers. Sounds like an attempt by the Saints front office to increase bids.

Driving home tonight, I was listening to an overnight national sports radio show, and the host said that he was hearing rumors that there was going to be something embarassing about Bush coming out in the morning papers.

On top of that, if you think about the deal where he claims he didn't know where his family was living while he was in school... maybe that developed into some character questions?

If they don't, they are even more incompetent than I think they are.....tomorrow morning, we'll be hearing:

"Imagine a healthy McAlister and Bush in the same backfield! This would truly, I say TRULY, be a defensive coordinators nightmare. I mean, the Saints would be beating teams by like 6 or 7 TDs....EVERY week. They might as well hand them the Lombardi, for like the next 10 years or so."
