Overall: Washington took over as a starter in the final two games of his freshman season in 2002. He missed four games as a sophomore in 2003 with a dislocated shoulder and took a backseat to Greg Jones (Jaguars) before regaining the starting job as a junior this season. Washington still splits time with Lorenzo Booker, but Washington is the starter and typically gets the most reps throughout the course of a game. As a junior in 2004, Washington missed two games (Duke and Maryland) because of a shoulder injury but he started the other 10 games and led the ACC in rushing yards per game with 95.1. He averaged 6.9 yards per carry and finished the season as the Gator Bowl MVP. As a senior in 2005, Washington rushed for 430 yards and 3 touchdowns on 97 carries, while also catching 25 passes for 267 yards and one touchdown ...
