How sad, giving up on the Royals. Ewing Kaufman is rolling in his grave.

No it's not. In fact, it's grown a bit old.

i used to be a royals fan back in the 80's and if they ever become decent again i will again become a fan but until then my favorite team is the yankees opponent

I could smell the painting on the wall in 1987, I stopped following them close about then.

So does that make you fairweathered?

I was thinking "front-runner" but either is correct.

Definitely not original, but first time one of my teams has been involved.

We should have raised a collection to win the auction, then have him stay a Roayls fan.

We need all the fans we can get.

Plenty of room at the K for 'the real fans' to pony up for season tickets now.

Face it, the guy's right. Until there is a spending cap, the big market teams will simply run amok. When A Rod, makes more than half of the Royals roster, The Royals will not, and can not compete for the better players. They will continue to absolutely suck.

The Royals can find talent, and develop it, but they will NEVER be able to financially retain the tallent. Big Market teams will out spend the Royals, and they will continue to suck.
