found this in the Topeka Capital Journal:

GM Carl Peterson says there's no chance of Ty Law becoming a Chief with the corner's current contract demands.

"Without dancing all around it, it all gets down to the money," Peterson said. "So far, Ty Law has commanded a great deal of money that he's not worth, quite. When he gets to the point when he says, 'I'll play for a little bit less ...' then we can come together." May. 6

I'm happy f'er ya's.
He visits the Buc's next week.
Don't believe he'll get the big money here either.

And if he doesn't get it anywhere...I believe he'll be back with the Pats.
From what I hear, they're still talkin'.

Battle, Walls, Hodge, Sapp or Maxey; who will it be?

Walls most likely.

IMO it depends on whether Gun, Gibbs, or Herm makes the final call. I could see Gun wanting Battle, Gibbs wanting Walls, and Herm wanting Hodge. It should be the most interesting battle in camp thats for sure.

That quote sounds ridiculous. Just the blunt, BS feel of it.

Then again, I guess this is CP we're talking about. He'll throw anyone under the bus.

It has to happen. Nick Athan told me so

But he also said Stumpy and Badgirl would be together forever.

If Nick Athan had reported this story, I'd be pumped. Because that would mean Ty Law would sign within 48 hours.

Carl obviously is going to do that, but it's no secret Law thinks he's worth a lot of money. It took the whole offseason for him to come down from those demands last year and sign with the Jets.

Why was that entire post in bold? Test, 1, 2...

Well that's odd.

Wow!

Ty Law wants more money than the Chiefs are willing to pay!

I'm shocked!

Parker could tell you why, exactly, but it has something to do with his "l <"

Remove, or replace that, and your post will come out as it should.

Somebody needs to clue Law in to the fact the rules have nutted CB's. They aren't worth what they once were.

Somebody needs to clue Law in to the fact the rules have nutted CB's. They aren't worth what they once were. Then again you could say that with the new rules and CB's no longer allowed to be physical that true cover CB's become even more valuable since CB's with less talent can no longer just shove a WR around.

You mean like Law did last season to lead the league in PI calls?

Funny how the Chiefs have no problem spending money, when it involves the tax players' money and the issue is spending to upgrade Arrowhead.

I want Law as bad as anyone on this board. I think our defense will be much better this year with or without him though. I think we drafted a couple of starters for the D, and I think that the cover 2 will be better suited for everyone involved. Time will tell.

Wow a Postons' client asking for too much money. Pretty suprised.

I'd be willing to accept some PI calls if we have a CB who can get 10 INTS in a season like he did last year. ;)

As long as we put pressure on the QB, having 2 "shut-down" corners isn't that important.
