I keep wondering why it says I have 1 unread private message, but when I look, there are no unread private messages.

It's a feature that purports to be process intensive so I presume somebody disabled it during the draft.
The unread PM is from redrum69. He's on universal ignore so when you receive a PM from him it shows as unread but you can't see it.
