Somehow I knew you would know what Valpolicella is. It is actually one of my favorite Italian wines. Very dry, very tasty. Ranks right up there with Soave.

Can't say I've ever tried Soave. Valpolicella to me is a little like a Lambrusco in that it sometimes gets a bad rep from some of the cheaper vintages, but a good bottle is really hard to beat IMO!

Yup, I actually like Valpolicella better than Chianti. Soave is a dry Italian white wine, a very tiny bit on the tart side but excellent. On par with any German white wine at the very least. Well, except for Spaetlese or Auslese but those are different types of white wine anyhow.
