Let's go re-tards! (clap, clap)

http://www.stepdowncarl.com/16.html

Keep in mind that this site will be updated regularly, so check back soon! I also wanted to point out that while I'm hoping the Peterson Era ends soon, this site will also serve as somewhat of a celebration for what he has accomplished (as crazy as that sounds!)

Again, I no longer support Peterson ... however, I do appreciate all that he's done for the Chiefs and the Kansas City community.

GO CHIEFS!!!

Why on earth would you want Carl out? WTF, he helped bring the Chiefs back to prominence. He helped the Chiefs be one of the most winningest NFL teams in the 1990's. You guys are freaking mental, in the 15 years prior to the Peterson era the Chiefs had 2 winning seasons. Thats it. Ever since the Chiefs have had 12 since. Who else do you want to replace him? Come on. Some people talk about playoff wins but what can a GM do when your team goes 13-3 gets a bye and loses. He did his job, he helped get the players, coaches, and personnel to put the team in a situation to succeed.

It's not so bad. You expect some really slick site will get rid of King Carl?

Your a little hard on the guy. Its better than a lot of team vanity sites.

I would have, but I haven't seen that show since Kimmel left. (And only a few times before he did.)

I think our GM situation is sufficient. Not great, but sufficient. The GM is the scapegoat for most NFL teams. All wrong doing falls on the shoulders of the GM. Carl brought this team out of the crapper, and he doesn't get enough props for doing so. Yet, we have no championship to show for it, so everyone plays the blame game. It has to be someone's fault, right?

My biggest question is where is an available GM who will give KC a winning season 80% of the time. A good GM is hard to find, a great one is impossible. If you get rid of him, you won't get anything that much better. His policy is the team before the player. And that means we don't get the high-dollar signs most teams will go for.

And I hate to be the one to break it to you guys, but if the ownership wasn't pleased with his frugal style of management, he'd be gone already. Even if you got rid of the guy, you'd find the same type of person filling his shoes. It like the old song lyric, "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss..."

Feel free to flame away. But before you do, I just wanna say I could give a flying f*ck less if they hire a small ape in his place or keep him for 20 more years. All I know is we got it good right now. We are one of the few teams in the league who thinks our whole season is a wash if we go 8-8. Super Bowls don't only require great personnel and great coaching, they require luck. Right now, there are at least 10 teams who could win the Super Bowl. Lack of injuries, schedule, and other items of chance determine who will win the big dance. Nobody likes hearing that that sort of stuff is out of their hands, though.
