" In 1958, Vince DeDomenico decided to take this recipe and produce it for sale in grocery stores. He placed the rice and pasta in a box, and added a dry seasoning mix in place of the liquid chicken broth. Because this product was made up of half rice and half pasta, he decided to call it RICE-A-RONI®."

Zatarain's spanish rice kicks ass. Their dirty rice is good, but in no way "real" dirty rice.

I'm not sure what eating dried rice that will last a million years has to do with swallowing, but I'm a lady, I don't spit, thank you very much.

I can be at any of 'em; but the "George Brett statue, WITH a Red bikini" is the clincher....

I'll be the big guy, brown hair and eyes, beer-belly with goatee, and a "ChiefsPlanet T-Shirt" wearing guy....:hmmm:

Oh, wait; that doesn't narrow it down much (not if the 37Forever gatherings are any indication).....heh. :)

Any of the flavors where you fry the rice/pasta mix before you add the water and seasoning is good. I like to add it to garden salad.

Rice a Roni sucks. Lipton's rice and sauce packets are much better, easier, faster.
