Alright,

I'm wanting to spread some speakers into the various rooms of our house, including some outside on our porch (they won't get much exposure, but in a windy storm, they'll get a little wet). Anyone have any suggestions. Note: I'm not an audiophile, and I'm wanting to do this fairly cheaply. I want them to all be inconspicuous, so they should be small and mountable up in the ceilings of the rooms they're going in.

I'm not interested in huge sound, I just want to be able to hear music in the various rooms of the house without having to turn the levels up to obscenely high volume in the room with all the speakers. It was fine when I didn't have a kid, but it's not so good on his ears or his sleep schedule.

The eventual plan is to go wireless network in our house, go digital with all our music, get one of the airport extreme audio hookups for the home stereo and use my ibook as the "remote control." Step one, though, is to get the speakers and get them wired.
