you could copy and pasts some spaces or use tab and have really big gaps or use a external keyboard

Good luck. Usually some little rubber piece jars loose on the between the plastic key and the sensor beneath. If you can gently pry the space bar off, you may be able to find it and put it back in place. However, you'll probably just end up with a missing space bar.

You can typically buy replacement OEM keyboards for laptops on eBay for $20-$30. They're usually pretty easy to install. PM me with your manufacturer and model number if you need help finding it.

I might have to do that, but a few times now it just starts working again out of the blue. Weird. So I guess I won't worry about it until the next time it craps out on me.
