Was searching on ebay for a DT jersey and found that some of his personal items are on there. A bunch of his items were sold after his untimely death and are now owned by an antique dealer trying to make a few bucks off of him.

The Rolex would be nice, but I'd be afraid to wear it.

I like that the Days of the week are in Spanish. That is serious bling... but Id never wear anything like that. Im a platinum man...

Those items were purchased from auction by Dave Lane, a member of this board. I don't know if he's trying to sell them now but the antiques dealer part seems to fit.

I'm always happy to be reminded that DT invested his money wisely.

Very Howard Hughes-ish.

I think it's safe for me to say that no matter how much money I have I'll never spend $22k on a watch.

That might be just a little bit ghoulish.

Agreed

I'm debating between buying those watches or retiring. I probably should check with my wife.

What is ghoulish? What do you think should be done with a person's valuables after someone dies?

That's peculiar. 5 wives and 8 children; jersey number 58.

I consider making money off of a dead guy's name to be ghoulish.

What if someone were to write a biography about Thomas? Would that also be ghoulish?

Ain't in the same ballpark, chief. I'm not going to engage in a drawn out debate about it.

ok. I don't really see much difference but I'm not that passionate about it so I guess we can just let it drop.

Some cultures believe that personal possessions acquire the spiritual energy of the owner over time, Mr. el borracho.

That's why there's such an overseas market in Kate Winslet's discarded bra pads.

Ghoulish would be selling DT's seatbelt - like new, never used.

Once Dave sells the diamond encrusted cross, he should take his profits and bid on this:

Actually I enjoy wearing them all and then trying to root the Defense on for DT. Obviously with all the recent D success I thought maybe putting them up for sale might be the smart move :)

You should bury them with them. That way they'll have them forever.

ROFL

Ok, in all honesty, if anyone buries/cremates me with anything of value I'm coming back to haunt them forever.
