I think it's pretty awesome, and a good solution.

GEEKS & FREAKS!

Much better
I think we should have kept MusicPlanet. It was my 2nd home.

Uhhh, it's still here. Geeksplanet just merged with it. The same people will still post here, which is why i'm for it.
so Casino Planet Stays and Geeks Go Away?

I meant I liked it by itself.

I'm OK with the name, it just seems odd to have electronics mixed in with music stuff...just saying...
Drop "Edition"
Media Center would be better. This is not a Windows release. ROFL
I would Settle a Plea Barging for a Name Change

Media center edition? Whatever
Can a visitor guess from the name what might be here
We all know but....

This was the agreed-upon solution.
As for the name, I picked it. I knew it would piss you guys off.
Finally, it's easy to see what goes here...there's a DESCRIPTION under the name. :p

I figure the geeks will understand what MCE is which can bring in the geeks, the music guys will see Media and think music. You take off the Edition though, and you are stuck with something with a lot of meanings that wouldn't draw on the geek part at all.

I don't like it either, but we'll probably all get used to it.
We just have to be more descriptive with our thread titles

Musicplanet was my 2nd home too. But I think music will still be the prominent subject in here, with some 360/PS3/HDTV banter thrown in just to annoy Reaper16

I'm going to have to Disagree with you on this...
I think it will be more tech related

There was a lot more going on in Musicplanet than in Geeks

I'm actually more into videogames than I am music; hence my approval of this merger.

Yeah on the page it looks funny have 'Chiefsplanet - Media Center Edition'
When all of the others don't prefix e.g. 'Chiefsplanet - The Lounge' ...............
:harumph:
I guess it's the database naming consistency thing coming out in me. :p

Why isn't there an option to add an icon to a new thread in this sub-forum? There's a music icon and if we can find a good tech icon you could then easily distinguish which threads were about what.

good point there are several littel icons that nobody ever uses.
we could probably use to very different new one to indicate Music or tech.
it would make each brand of thread stick out.

That's a great idea. We'll look into that.
I like the new setup.... I was skeptical at first, but now I find myself spending more and more time in here....
Well done all.....
