I thought the creed was "one shot, one kill". Maybe that's there motto?

I sniper was asked what he felt while blowing off some Iraqi's head off.

You have to be yoked to pack that one rifle near the end of that video.

I shot one of those .500 rifles (AR-50's I think they're called) at a shooting range out in Central Kansas. The rounds were not military rounds (which are titanium tipped I think) just lead. The powder and the size of the round was the same though. Anyway, I loaded up the ear protection and had the rifle mounted on a table with the legs down on a couple of mini sand bags so I could sit on a bench. My target was a 3' x 3' x 1/2" thick piece of steel at a little more than 150 yards mounted in the center from a large chain. I lined the Zeiss scope up and fired. The blast wave is so profound it hits you from the front and the back. It was so strong that I felt like I got pushed from all sides at the same time and my nose and sinus literally vibrated to the point that my nose started to run. All that took about 1 second. I then looked through the scope again and saw the 1/2" thick steel spinning like a top. I'm guessing the steel weighed about 400 to 500 lbs. Heck of an experience. The round I shot didn't go through the target but it did leave a perfectly round indent that raised up from the steel a little more than 3/8". The guy who owned the range said a military round would easily have done so. Very impressive weapon. I shot about 6 rounds until the wax fell out of my ears :)

Oh one more thing. I'm not a big guy 5'-10" 173lbs. I wouldn't want to shoot that thing standing up. Then again I doubt anyone would.
