Where is Mankato in relation to River Falls?

I need to do a little research to find out what the trip would entail. But first I'm going to use the vacation I'm going on next week to spring it on my wife. The key is to catch them when they are in a good mood. :)

Mankato is around an hour south of Bllomington, MN. Bloomington is around 30 minutes from River Falls, depending on traffic.
If it's the same as always, there is no chance at getting a room in Mankato, but if you stay in Bloomington and just make the drive, it's not too bad.

She says its a fun bar. I've never been there, so thats all I can tell you about it. I don't know if its a sports bar or just a college bar. Its close to campus and has been tagged as "fun".

edit:"Boomtown is on Stadium Rd. Just east of the corner of stadium and warren st. they will be able to see it from the road. there is a group of businesses just west of the bar (jimmy johns, noodles inc, coldstone, chipolte, things like that...then waters and then boomtown)"

The Pub is closer to downtown, but I'm told is more of an upscale sports bar.

I'm taking the family, and one of them in particular is pretty high maintenence, so I'm not sure how much I'll be getting away. We'll be at the scrimmage though, and may see some of you there. I'll be easy to find, as I'll be the handsome bastard in a Chiefs cap, without the bald head or goatee.
