For some reason whenever I open up "My Pictures", I'm not getting the thumbnail previews. I will attach an image in the next post.

This is what I'm getting instead, any ideas how to change this?

That's already selected, I'm getting the thumbnails, but the images in them aren't coming up.

This involves registry editing, so stay out unless you're comfortable with it. But you might try the steps listed here (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;Q292499).

Any idea how this could have been changed to begin with? Virus or something? I've had this PC for three years and it just started doing it all of a sudden.

If the link I posted solves your problem, some program may have messed with the settings that Windows uses to display previews. Office is the common culprit, but any program that deals with photos could have affected it.

I doubt it's a virus. That's kind of a weird thing for a virus to target. As always, though, make sure your virus software is up to date.

It just dawned on me after my last post to try a restore point, and that did the trick. :thumb:

I haven't installed or removed any programs lately, so how it happened is beyond me.
