What a shitty draft for me. :cuss:

Anyhow, it's been decided that the draft order (#1-#12) will be CHOSEN by owners in order of how they placed in the draft lottery (to follow). So, the owner who was closest will PICK their draft choice, and the owner was furthest away (ChiefPote, for not picking a number) will get whatever pick is left. Everyone inbetween will take in turns, in order, to select.

(1) chiefs4tw - 710 (non-CP)
(2) TCF - 669 (non-CP)
(3) kcchiefsguru - 666
(4) noa949 - 571
(5) rad - 501
(6) SCTrojan - 472
(7) Prince22 - 467
(8) Sfeihc - 420
(9) DaKCManAP - 417
(10) lb4jmvp - 320
(11) wutamess - 257
(12) ChiefPote - no pick

htismaqe can confirm the above numbers as he received them all during the process.

Well done to kcchiefsguru who was the highest ChiefsPlanet member. IMO that's a great slot because you get, at the very least, a top-3 pick (if you want it), and can assure yourself a stud running back.

I'm at 10. ROFL

:shake:

The only good thing for you, me and perhaps DaKCMan AP is that we get very early 2nd round picks, almost back-to-back. (Assuming others select higher picks, of course.)

Did you email the 2nd guy also of his possible choices?

CupidStunt
07-11-2006, 12:35 PM
Yeah, waiting for his reply as I type.

Which leads me to the fact that first pick has been taken:

chiefs4tw has opted to pass on the #1 overall pick and has decided to have the #2 selection.

Order will be edited as it is chosen in THE FIRST POST OF THIS THREAD.

Only the first two rounds will be listed, and the draft repeats in that order thereafter.

Here's another thought....
If we can't all get together for the draft... want to have it online here?

You can input the teams players at a later date.
Is the scoring system going to change? Did you get a change to view the threads in the esp forum?

I guess I can put my rubber stamp on those numbers. They look correct to me.

Although kudos go to Sfeihc for picking a cool number, and jeers go to kcchiefsguru for taking "that" number...

If people can't make a Live draft (which is what people told me they wanted to do, and I do myself), I've got no problems with doing it here. The only issue, I guess, might be who's available, who's gone, etc. But we'll figure it out.

Is the scoring system going to change?

I hadn't anticipated it changing - what are you thinking?

I don't think that should be allowed, but oh well.

Is chiefs4tw trading down, or what?

I don't know what's going on.

If he's forfeiting #1, where is he picking?

They came up with a solution that the closest to the 708 number gets to choose what pick he wants.

I don't care either way but I do think we should stick with whomever is closest should get first pick etc.

Either way... I'll take my 11th pick and kick total ass.

It doesn't matter where you draft it's who you draft. That being said i'd still rather have #1 so LJ could come home.

Hmmm, I don't really see the advantage going #2 gives him other than he want to leave his first pick up to fate because he is afraid of making the wrong choice between the top two RBs.

Well it gives him one of the top 2 rb's in ffl that'll probably wash each other out while giving him a sooner pick than having the #1 & 20th.
Makes hella sense.

You mean the 24th.

If I have to pick high anyway. I would just as soon have the 1 then 25,26 picks. Otherwise, I prefer the 7 or 8 slot so I have balance between all picks.

Sorry for the NO RESPONSE, I left for vacation Saturday, took a laptop and the ****ing hotel has had problems with their internet connection all week. Just got the damn thing working Thursday. I feel like a free man now.

Not a problem, Tom...... the only issue is that your draft pick hasn't come from your choice, but, the good thing is that you'll have back-to-back picks. As I like to say, that's instant depth. You won't get a Larry Johnson or Shaun Alexander, but you should be able to reel in a Rudi Johnson and Steve Smith in consecutive picks (for example).

Feel free to go ahead and vote on the league homepage, edit your team and check out the rules discussion we're having.

What do you want?

As for swapping draft picks, that'll be available as soon as we set the draft date, which leads me to say:

WHEN IS THE DRAFT?

It's going to be impossible to get a consensus. Don't forget, for those who can't make it there IS an auto-pick service when you can rank all players.

I agree, it's impossible for everyone to be on-line at the same time so as the commish you should make the final decision and let it stand.

BUMP.

In order to trade picks (which it seems you two guys have agreed on), we need to FINALIZE THE DRAFT DATE.

Those who have not yet given input, please do so now, because we need a majority choice. So far, a weeknight early in the week in late August is what's most likely.

Btw, noa. Don't forget that your #4 pick is worth something. If you do go ahead and trade, get a pick in return.

A weeknight early in the week in late August sounds good to me. But when you trade draft positions you don't get an extra pick. It's obvious he has his eyes on a guy he can get at the 7th pick in the first round while getting an earlier 2nd round pick. Don't make this more difficult than it has to be. Moving up or Down does not require a conditional pick.

CupidStunt
07-16-2006, 12:54 PM
It doesn't have to, of course. If he wishes to switch picks, that'll work out nicely. But don't forget that you'll have to switch your later round picks as well to even it out, and that's assuming no compensation is paid.
