Check that, I jinxed them. Midland just won in the bottom of the 15th, 11-10.

Game took 5 hours, 36 minutes, and according to the box score the gametime temperature was 100 degrees. Sounds like a full day at the ballpark.

Hey, I'm not even a Royals fan, so I'll abstain from voting. Right now they're on a hot streak, which is nice, ride it for as long as it lasts but don't get carried away by it. These things pass. They've nicely elevated themselves into a group of teams (which includes my Orioles) who all, and make no mistake about this, suck.

Doesn't mean they'll all suck this time next year, though. One or more teams bust out of that group every year. Why not KC? No reason. Keep the faith.

They did the same thing last year after Tony II left. They still finished the season horribly. Why would this year be any different?
